David Tennant Treat 4 Today for Saturday 8th April 2017

The David Tennant Treat 4 Today is a 10 minute interview with David Tennant which was broadcast on Wednesday 22nd February this year at the start of the arts programme Front Row on BBC Radio Four. This was five days before the start of Broadchurch Series Three.

The interviewer, John Wilson, asked David about Broadchurch and several new clips from the first episode of Broadchurch Series Three were included in the interview (plus one which had been broadcast previously).

David said that this third and final series looks at what the crime does to the close-knit town of Broadchurch but the first episode looks more at the procedural side of the police investigating the crime.

David also spoke about how, as an actor, it was liberating that he did not know who committed the crime or the full storyline before shooting began.

David said that he had chatted to Chris Chibnall about Doctor Who and denied that he had suggested Olivia Colman should be the next Doctor in Doctor Who. He also refused to be drawn on whether the next Doctor should be male or female.

At the end of the half hour programme a one minute David Tennant interview clip was played in which he was asked about 'the fine art of mumbling.'
